Spain made step by step progression under coach Adrian Lock. This resulted in a bronze medal at the World Cup in 2018. The number seven in the FIH world ranking won in London the battle for the bronze 3-1 against Australia. During the European Championship 2019, the Spanish women’s hockey team won the medal again. In the battle for the bronze, they won against England after shoot-outs.
