England
England took the podium nine times during the European Championships. The last time was during the Rabo EuroHockey Championships 2017 in Amsterdam. England lost the semi-final 3-1 to the Netherlands but managed to win the consolation final 2-4 against Germany. In 2009 (also Amsterdam) the English national men’s hockey team reached the highest step of the podium and became European champion. Hopefully the Wagener stadium will bring luck to the English men again.
